What this app does
Setpoint uses your device's camera to track your body position while you shoot, using on-device pose detection. It measures joint angles to give you feedback on your shooting form.
Camera and video
Your camera feed is processed entirely on your device. No video, images, or pose data are ever transmitted to us or anyone else. Recorded replay videos are saved only on your device and are never uploaded.
Accounts
You can use Setpoint as a guest with no account. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a user ID, handled through Google Firebase Authentication. Your email is used only to sign you in and to send password-reset emails. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple shares your Apple ID email (or a private relay address if you choose to hide it) and a unique identifier with us through Firebase; we never see your Apple ID password.
What we collect and store
If you use a guest profile, session summaries (shot count, joint angle averages, form score, date) are stored only on your device. If you are signed in with an active Premium subscription, those session summaries and reports are also stored in the cloud (Google Firebase Firestore) under your account, so you can access them on your other devices. Replay videos are never part of this.
Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, which links your purchase status to your account so Premium follows you across devices. We never see or store your payment details.
Third parties
We use Google Firebase (account sign-in and cloud storage of session summaries) and RevenueCat (subscription management). We do not use advertising or tracking services, and we do not sell your data.
Deleting your data
You can delete local session history at any time from Menu › Settings › Clear session history. You can delete your account from within the app, which also deletes your cloud-stored session data.

Subscription
Setpoint Premium is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription at the price displayed at the time of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Free session
New users receive one free recorded session to try the app's tracking. After that session ends, and for all sessions afterward, a Premium subscription is required to view session reports or record additional sessions.
Accounts
You may use Setpoint as a guest or create an account with Sign in with Apple or an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. A free Setpoint account is required to purchase or restore Premium. Subscriptions are tied to your account, so signing in on another device restores your Premium access, and Premium includes syncing your session history across your devices. You can delete your account at any time from within the app.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your device's App Store or Google Play account settings, accessible via Menu › Profile › Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you'll keep Premium access until then, with no partial refund for the remaining period.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled directly by Apple or Google according to their own respective refund policies, not by us. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.
No professional or medical advice
Setpoint provides general shooting-form feedback based on computer vision estimates of joint angles. It is not a substitute for instruction from a qualified coach, and it is not medical, therapeutic, or injury-prevention advice. Use the app at your own judgment and physical risk.
Accuracy of shot detection
Setpoint's shot and joint-angle detection relies on on-device computer vision and may occasionally misread a shot, miss a rep, or report an inaccurate angle — particularly in poor lighting, unusual camera angles, or when part of your body is out of frame. Treat all detected data and feedback as an estimate rather than a guaranteed-precise measurement, and stop using a session's feedback if something appears clearly wrong.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Setpoint only for its intended purpose of personal basketball shooting-form practice, and not to attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app.
Limitation of liability
Setpoint is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from use of the app, including reliance on its form feedback.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, an updated version will be posted on this page and included in a future app update. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
